It is with great pride and humble apperciation to donors that we annouce that Arrohattoc District has met its 2007 Friends of Scouting goal! After a final round of presentations on the evening of April 23rd, Arrohattoc District was propelled well past our goal of $93,000.00 to a current total of $105,672.36. The district is to be commended for its generosity in supporting Boy Scouting. Job well done!
**ARROHATTOC DISTRICT IS THE FIRST DISTRICT IN THE HEART OF VIRGINIA COUNCIL TO REACH ITS 2007 FRIENDS OF SCOUTING GOAL!**
Special thanks is due to district team volunteers including Charlie Dickens (District Vice-Chairman of Finance, Friends of Scouting Campaign Chairman, presenter, and caller), Michael Traylor (District Chairman, table host, presenter, and caller), Andrew Monroe (table host), Dale Patton (table host), Eric Tolbert (table host), Jimmy and Sharlee LaBrecque (table hosts), Mac Drane (table host), Bruce Tibbetts (table host, presenter, and caller), Lisa Wright (table host), Tom Shearer (presenter and caller), Don Vaught (presenter and caller), David Christy (presenter), Sean Lennon (presenter and technology advisor), Jeff DeHoff (caller), and John McCullough (caller).
Our district's campaign depends very heavily on family contributions collected through unit presentations. In fact, 75% of the money raised through our campaign is credited to the council through unit designations. Naturally, we owe a great debt of gratititude to all units that welcomed Friends of Scouting presentations at blue and gold ceremonies, courts of honour, or unit meetings. Finally, no matter how much or how little a donor opted to give, the fact that people are willing to give over $100,000 to the betterment of Boy Scouting is a true testament of the generousity of the people of southern Chesterfield County. We are honoured that donors recognized the power and results of our program and decided to support our advancement.
If any units that have not presented would still like to have a presentation to join our success, then please contact the District Executive (204-2632,

) to schedule a time. Thanks to all who made our campaign successful!
