The 2009 Fall Popcorn has kicked off.  Lots of changes have been added starting with the "Champions Dinner" held on June 11th and the "Greatest Opportunity Units Dinner" scheduled for June 30th.  More than 200 packs, troops, crews and posts participated in last year's sale and grossed more than $1.2 million.  Packs troops, crews and posts have told us they want to do more programming and better programming and are ready and willing to raise more dollars to make it happen.

We have the plan for you to do just that.  Make certain your Unit Popcorn Kernel attends the training on either August 11th or 17th.  There are a few critical things each unit can be doing right now to stay on task and on time as listed below.

Get ahead of the sale by identifying and recruiting your unit's Popcorn Team now.  Your starting point should always include holding a planning meeting with your unit's parents and Scouts.  Layout your "Ideal Year of Scouting" and then participate in the Fall Popcorn Sale to help fund your great program.

NOTE:  Only 1 person per unit will be allowed Read/Write privileges in the Trails End Popcorn System.  As an option, others in the unit may have Read Only access.

The primary person with Read/Write is the only one who can order popcorn and prizes on-line.  The secondary person(s) can only view or read the information.  On-line orders will only be approved by Council from the primary person.

When distributing popcorn for door to door sales and storefront sales -

If you enter in orders by Scout you can print a packing slip for each Scout to use in your popcorn distribution.  This may be easier done for the take order portion of the sale than the storefront order.
