Announcing the 100th Anniversary Council Super Event

The Heart of Virginia Council will partner with Kings Dominion to hold a Super Event at the park.

There will be three main components to the event:

1. We will be showcasing Scouting to the general public with demonstration booths inside the park. Scouts should staff a demonstration for a two hour shift or two then enjoy the rides and shows. Scouts and leaders will be able to purchase tickets to Kings Dominion at a great discount. Plan now on what your Pack, Troop or Crew would like to demonstrate.

2. Camping will take place on the old air field next to the park. The council held a camp-o-ree there in the early 1990's.

3. Evening stage show.

Costs: $17.00 for the event including camping. $25.00 for park admittance (or use your season pass). Start saving now - or sell more popcorn!

Kings Dominion is making their largest investment in a ride in the history of the park. A new roller coaster will open for the 2010 season called "The Intimidator 305." The ride climbs to 305 feet then drops 300 feet at an 85% angle. It will be the ride everyone will be talking about next spring.
